The realisation of this trip is more evident when you read our list of countries that we will be travelling through.......

Countries: United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Iran *, Turkmenistan **, Uzbekistan *, Tajikistan *, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan *, Russia *, Mongolia *....

As is evident there are 19 countries on the way out to Mongolia.

Return Journey: Mongolia* Russia *, Belarus, Poland, Germany, Belgium, France, United Kingdom and 8 on the way back.

The countries that have a * mean we have to get a VISA for, Turkmenistan is the only country where you can get a VISA on Arrival as it is for 5 days.

In the process at the moment of sending these VISA's to the VISA Machine. So many thanks to them, working hard to ensure all the VISA information present and correct.

Car: As far as this is concerned, she is well, doing a clutch change June time. We shall the go about getting a few spares. 2 Tyres, Brake Pads, Belts, spark plugs... The thing is we will need to work on it out en-route, or at least find someone who can. So the more items we take with the better. Need to get a good power to weight ratio going on.

Route: Looking at google maps/ google earth at the moment. picking some awesome places to visit, for example: Old Nisa, Bagyr, Ahal, Turkmenistan. A UNESCO site, it is now quiet and tranquil, and it is difficult to believ that Parthian Empire, was a major power from the mid 3rd century BC to the 3rd century AD and Issyk Kul, Issyk Kul Province, Kyrgyzstan. Issyk Kul is an endorheic lake in the northern Tian Shan mountains in eastern Kyrgyzstan. It is the tenth largest lake in the world by volume and the second largest saline lake after the Caspian Sea.
