July 6th 2013 - Blackdown Woodland Fair

Helping My friend Stu at this years woodland fair was a blast; meeting so many new faces, and to be along side Blackdown Environmental was sure to be a very eventful day.

So people were milling around chatting to each other, Stu's staff talking about the soprano pipistrelle (Pipistrellus pygmaeus) and it's tendency to be at a higher pitch to that of the Common variety.

Many of the visitors to the Blackdown Environmental stall did some colouring and were very interested in the little grass snake Adam had brought in. So the lads had helped creating the site available for the many events through the day: Wood carivng, Horse drawn plough exhibition and the top class speed climbing showcase.

Coversation was had with a variety of folk, to a South African, a Chinese lady about driving through China on said Mongolian trip next year. By far the best person to bump into was Carolyn Bill, she works as Head of Logistics for South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust.

She has managed to locate a number of items that Save Infants want in 2014 for the 'Project 2014', in fact much more than that.
So from all of Team Scrumptious, thank you very much Carolyn for all your teams work.

Now Team Scrumptious will be couriering the items over to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia over the next 3 weeks. So that Save Infants can get some of the equipment they required in 2014. Please, Please, Please dig deep and help them raise money for the essential items they require next year. If you want to give the money to Team Scrumptious we will be presenting them with a Cheque on arrival next year or alternatively you can do that directly.
